Chick Pea Meat(less)balls!

I tried to make these last night and it was a complete disaster. All I got was a pile of fried chick pea mush. Later I realized that I should have taken pictures of my hands covered in smashed chick peas and flour and ingredients strewn about the counter-top. So I thought that tonight I would try again and the disaster would repeat itself, but this time I would get pictures. But tonight everything worked. So I succeeded, but I sort of didn't.

Making CD Cases

Kyle inspired me to send some CDs to record companies.

Buck a Slice in Full Effect

Buck-a-Slice was in full effect last night. Sometimes I wish we got a tv signal at our house.. it would be nice to have people over for pizza and Jeopardy on Monday nights. But I guess to really get people over, we'd have to institute TJ's old buck-a-beer policy. Oh, to live in a world where Jeopardy brought out more people than beer.

Canadian Thanksgiving

I had to leave before the food was served, but I did get to experience this cauldron of witches brew.

Kyle's Dryer

Our dryer is broken so I keep having to go to other people's houses to dry my clothes... Because I can't stand laundomats.

Grand Palace Party

I am such a lucky idiot. If I hadn't known people in Nashville before I moved here, I wouldn't even know about a fraction of the things I do now. I'm sure I'll never get into this much this quickly anywhere else. I mean, 60 people were at my house for the show last weekend... What is going on, Chris Freeman?

Waking up long-dormant alveoli

I've started riding my bike every day after barely touching it for a long time. Here in Nashville, I have to make a special point to do it. It's too far (and hilly) to ride to the store or to work or to a friend's house. But I've kept up with it for about a week. I'm so out of shape, it hurts even after a short ride. But I love it. I am so looking forward to fall! October is going to be great!

The weather (or playing with a baby) is good for 20 seconds

Yesterday I had to attend a 5-hour training session on being a salesperson at my job. I'm not a salesperson there and have no plans to become one. So it was a big waste of time. Luckily, I'm in this mood where I just want to be out of my house so I was fine with staying at work for 9-and-a-half hours.

Here are some scans from the handouts:

Successful Party

Elle was one of the people who played Saturday night at my house. She made a bass drum head for her band.
The party was amazingly successful. I can name about 30 people who came and there were probably another 20 or 30 I didn't know. The house has never been so crowded.
