Biking through downtown

I was riding my bike through downtown during rush hour on a street with streetcar tracks. There were lots of cars and I was worried about getting my tire caught in the tracks or a streetcar coming so I got off and walked.

Then this girl zipped by riding right down the center of the tracks. I figured she knew what she was doing and that I'd be safe if I followed her.

But then when she stopped at the next red light, she fell off her bike.

After a class project where I used text and images from Peanuts strips, I have started a second blog. As if I need another project.

I bought this two-tone desk

because I want my apartment to look like the inside of a Target store.

I had never been to Ikea before. I didn't know you had to pull your own furniture off of shelves in the warehouse. I was all like, "ok I want to buy this go get it for me."

The second time I've lived on a street named Porter

I finally have an apartment!! It has a blue door!

And red floors and a big bay window in the living room!

And another one in the bedroom!

And a red clawfoot tub!!!

So I gave up looking for a roommate and just got a one-bedroom. I answered at least 100 craigslist roommate ads and looked at 23 of those. Most of them I didn't like and the ones I did like picked someone else.

That zero in the address is very important. This street has a "zero" block. 24 Porter St. is a block away. Google and Mapquest don't understand this and I actually missed my initial viewing of the apartment because I was sitting in front of the wrong place. That's so weird. Also weird about this place is that it's in a part of town where highways and big roads have been cut through, so alot of the streets don't connect. I actually haven't been able to figure out how to drive into the neighborhood without taking an illegal right turn (which google and mapquest also don't realize is illegal).

But I am always fine with quirky things... and I'm not homeless anymore!

Trying to get out of a class

I used Manley's head as part of a Photoshop placement challenge test. I am trying to prove to them that I already know Photoshop so that I don't have to sit through 3 hour classes on how to make a new layer.
