More recording

Crossing our fingers that it will be done by the last show on Aug. 8. That will be the fastest turn around time for a recording ever.

Sorry, paint-stained Stone Temple Pilots shirt that I got in 8th grade, you will not be surviving the move.

The shirt in its glory days (1996).

Recording Unicorn Horns

Since I'm leaving in a few weeks, we are recording the Unicorn Horns set with Chris Watts. Steve and I got through the drums, bass, and half of the vocals today. We had to stop early because Chris's roommate was giving his kittens a flea bath and the meowing was picking up on the mic.

Rock Camp Tuesday

Kelly Kerr and I are managing a band. Today they started working on an original song. Our guitarists are pretty advanced, but our drummer has only been playing for two days so that is an interesting combination. It will be a good song... it rhymes "feeling" with "ceiling."

Rock Camp Monday

The girls go crazy for the performers.

My songwriting class wrote a song about finding sneakers on the moon... with sweet double meanings like "who can fill these shoes" and internal rhymes like "whose shoes."

A night as a Hat

I filled in on drums for Jared Micah and Hats. Our only practice was at 8:00 then the show was at 10:00. Surprisingly, I was able to play the songs on the drums as well as I had been playing them on my steering wheel all week.

Finally cleaning out my old apartment in Richmond two years later

When I moved out in 2006, my roommate stayed and let me keep some things there.
Somehow this desk and this bookshelf have to fit in this car.
Goodbye, Montclair building, I'll miss you.

And goodbye to you, old friend. Your tallness used to lead me home.

Surprise Visit

My cousin Kirsten and her family showed up for an unexpected visit at my mom's house. Very unexpected because they live in Scotland.
