I recently made a list and found out that I have been a part of about 40 (mostly-homemade) albums with various bands over the years. The new one I'm working on is by far the most exciting. It should be done next week.

Gracie and Unsui would wake me up at 6am either by squawking at the birds on the phone wires outside or by chasing each other around my room.

There was a pretty rough bar on the corner at the end of my block. When it let out at 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, the street would fill up and some sort of fight would usually start. The first time I heard them shooting at each other, I freaked out. By the end of my time in that apartment, I would just call 911 at about 1:30 and tell them I'd heard gunshots whether I had yet or not.

I lived in this apartment from August 2003 - August 2004. This window was right by my bed. Here are some of the things I saw from it: drug dealers, a car accident, a domestic disbute, a hurricane, a parade, bicyclists, graffiti artists, elementary school kids still out with their parents at 1:00am, friends just before they knocked on my door, street sweepers, fire engines, cars getting ticketed, kids slashing my neighbor's tires.

The most dangerous moments I've had while driving have been between Macado's restaurant and I-81 in Salem, VA because The Molly Brown is a sandwich that falls apart.

The Mooney Suzuki

I don't own any of their albums but I end up seeing The Mooney Suzuki about once every two years. The best show I've ever seen from them was in a coffee shop in 2002. The singer started dancing on one of the tables and it broke out from underneath him. Rock and Roll.

The famous picture of Anne at the Waffle House in Staunton in 2004 before she cast off the country of her birth for a Peace Corps assignment (and later a "job" with the UN) in East Timor.
We had a turtle-shaped firework but we were too scared to blow it up in the parking lot in the middle of the day.
P.S. - Note the Murfreesboro shirt. That's a band I used to be in. There were a few shirts made. I'm sure not many have survived.
