Video Installations at Cheekwood
I'd like to watch all of Ryan Trecartin's I-Be Area sometime, but since it's somewhat narrative and two hours long, having it on a loop is not the best way to get me to do that.
Otherwise, I'm impressed that Nashville got some big contemporary names to come to town - Paul McCarthy, Mike Kelly, Kalup Lindsey.
But my favorite was Guy Ben-Nur's Stealing Beauty, which was shot entirely with hidden cameras in Ikea stores.

I would love to watch some pieces by the people you mentioned. I so rarely see video installations that impress me, though. It's usually because there seems to be a lack of knowledge with film language. More often than not it's the pacing of the editing that kills me.
