Helping Mom with her never-ending home improvement project.
Not as cool as it used to be, but still essential Richmond.
...takes his beard on and off as often as normal people change their clothes.
Be sure to listen to NPR's Morning Edition on Dec. 31 for a story on his photo project, Sametime 7:15!!
I thought about making and mailing Christmas cards but finals and snow kept me from it. This is what it would have looked like, except I wouldn't have been wearing a Christmas sweater and it wouldn't have been in color (those things are much easier in digital). So this version is better... except that you don't get it in your mailbox with a heartfelt personalized note from me inside.
Anyway... is it giving anyone any ideas?!? Anyone?!
Today was supposed to be my last day of work, but since cars and buses like these keep getting stuck...

I really didn't think I was going to be able to drive my car (if I could even get it dug out from under a foot of snow). So I called in to see if the store was even open. My (now former!) manager, ever the inconsiderate jerk, started spouting off orders:
"The district manager says everyone has to have chains on their tires or use public transit to get to work; weather is not an excuse. So you'll need to get some chains before the next time you work."
"Um... you said today was going to be my last day."
"Oh."
And I don't feel like leaving my apartment. Expect your Christmas present from me to be late.
Driving to work in this week's second snow storm. When I got there, I was told I wouldn't be working there anymore after Monday due to the global economic collapse.
I haven't seen alot of salt on the roads, but I have seen lots of cars sliding around.
For an assignment about appropriation.
If you look through this little crystal ball, the spools of thread on the wall look like a Campbell's soup can. (Piece by Devorah Sperber and part of the Manuf®actured show at the Portland Museum of Contemporary Craft.)
Michael Lease, you'll soon be receiving a hi-res version of this.
