Moving In

I'm excited about my new house. There's a basement where I can play music, a washing machine and dryer, a hammock, a fireplace, house shows, lots of cooking, and rhyming roommates: Kelli Shay and TJ. Of course right now it's a mess and all of my stuff is buried in boxes.

1995 Jetta GLX for sale - needs engine work

It's attracting alot of attention from the ad on craigslist! However, my phone has just died and that's making it difficult to get in touch with any potential buyers beyond the intial e-mail. People in Tennessee who want to buy a car that needs engine work aren't very computer-literate.

Fidgeting

Whenever I'm just sitting at the computer or at the dinner table or something I'm always messing with the objects around me and organizing them somehow: stacks, patterns, whatever. It's part fidgety and part OCD - or something.

I never see Mannequin Beach on lists of remarkable album covers. Maybe that's because this album cover is so mind-blowing that nobody can decide whether it belongs on the "best album cover" list or the "worst album cover" list.

I'm going to live in this house in a month! So either I'll have fun house shows with my friends or I'll be woken up on Sunday afternoons by some stranger playing music in my living room.

Bike

Since I've moved to Nashville, I think I've ridden my bike five times. This means that every time I do ride it, my lungs are very unhappy.


Ohhhhhhhh how I long for the days when I lived in a bikable city.... I will live in one again!!!

One day this ditzy hippy girl dropped her cell phone down the sewer grate. She saw me as I came out of my apartment and frantically asked to use my phone and phone book. She called the city but it was the weekend so they couldn't come fish it out. Eventually her friends helped her get it out with a coat hanger and chewing gum or something like that. Since I had at least tried to help her out, this was waiting for me outside my apartment the next morning.
